I'm not sure the spirit of my praise for Tableau was heard; if my blog was poorly written to leave enough doubt than that is surely my shortcoming.

Tableau has done something *amazing*. They've taken something that's been done hundreds of times (BI charts, data, preparation, reports, dashboards) and made it EXCEPTIONALLY fun, easy, and great to use. Your follow up blog here clearly hits that theme - there may be others but you're fond and you LOVE to use Tableau! Nearly everyone I've spoken to about Tableau says the same thing - what a great product and they've nailed the "Experience."

Revolutionary? Well, it appears you disagree with my assessment that Tableau isn't. I don't think of making something that's been done and making it GREAT to use as revolutionary. However, you and others may disagree with that. :)

I'll repeat from my blog. "Sexy isn’t just sexy if done right. When done right, Sexy is called “Great Experience.” So clearly they're not mutually exclusive. :) Tableau is not just sexy - it's a great experience the best kind of sexy.
